We collect as little personal data as we can, and we tell you exactly what happens to it.

1. About this notice

This notice explains what personal data infotech innovation (FZE) collects through this website, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it.

It is written to meet Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. We will review it when the Executive Regulations to that law are issued, and update it if they require changes.

2. Who is responsible for your data

The Controller is infotech innovation (FZE), a Free Zone Establishment licensed by the SRTI Free Zone Authority, Government of Sharjah, with its registered office at Block B, SRTIP, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

3. The personal data we collect

Through this website we collect only what you choose to give us:

• Enquiry form – your name, organisation, work email address, telephone number, the area of interest you select, and whatever you write in the message field
• Briefing subscription – your email address
• Job applications – the CV and covering note you email us
• Server logs – our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and time of requests made to the site, for security and diagnostics

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask you not to send it. We do not use the site to collect data about children.

4. How the forms work

The enquiry and subscription forms on this site do not transmit your details to a server. They open a message in your own email application, already filled in, which you then choose to send. Nothing reaches us until you press send, and if you close the message we never receive it.

If we later replace this with a form that submits directly to us, we will update this notice before doing so.

5. Why we process your data, and on what basis

• To respond to your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to prepare a proposal – on the basis of your consent, and of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract
• To send you the quarterly technical brief – on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time
• To consider you for a role you have applied for – on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract
• To keep the website secure and working – on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting our systems
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations – on the basis of compliance with a legal obligation

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

6. Consent, and how to withdraw it

Where we rely on your consent, you give it by ticking the box on the form before you submit it. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it, and does not affect data we must keep for legal reasons.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with:

• our hosting and email providers, who process it on our instructions
• our professional advisers, where they need it
• a competent authority, where we are legally required to disclose it

Where a provider processes personal data for us, we require them to act only on our instructions and to keep it secure.

8. Transfers outside the UAE

Some of the services we use operate outside the United Arab Emirates. In particular, this website loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is disclosed to Google when a page loads.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE we do so in accordance with Articles 22 and 23 of the Personal Data Protection Law, relying on an adequate level of protection in the receiving jurisdiction or on appropriate contractual safeguards.

9. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become engagements – up to 24 months, then deleted
• Client records – for the duration of the engagement and for at least five years afterwards, as required by UAE tax and commercial record-keeping rules
• Briefing subscribers – until you withdraw consent
• Unsuccessful job applications – up to 12 months, unless you ask us to keep them on our register
• Server logs – a short retention period set by our hosting provider

10. How we protect it

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, as required by Article 20 of the Personal Data Protection Law. These include encrypted transport, access limited to those who need it, and confidentiality obligations on our people and our suppliers.

11. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to:

• be informed about how your data is processed, and to obtain a copy of it
• request that it be transferred to another controller, where technically feasible
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed
• request erasure of your data
• request that processing be restricted
• object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time
• object to decisions based solely on automated processing

12. Exercising your rights, and complaints

Email us and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and in any event within the period the law allows. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

13. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising tools, and does not track visitors between sessions or across other sites. If we introduce any of these, we will update this notice and ask for your consent first.

14. Data breaches

If a breach occurs that would prejudice your privacy, confidentiality or security, we will notify the UAE Data Office and, where the law requires it, notify you, in line with Article 9 of the Personal Data Protection Law.

15. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The version on this page is the current one and the date of the last update is shown at the top.

16. Language

This notice is published in Arabic and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Arabic version prevails.
